Professor Troy Van Voorhis came to speak last week, challenging our understanding of how God is "awesome." Instead of merely "very good," he helped us see the ways in which God is to be feared and revered, and together we explored how that should change how we talk about God.

Prayer Square

• Pray that everyone can receive good rest over the Thanksgiving holiday and safe travels for those visiting family.
• Pray for strength for those burdened with work, stressed with deadlines, quals, or adviser expectations.
• Pray for opportunities to give a defense to people who ask us for a reason for the hope that is in us, and to do it with gentleness and respect.
• Pray for healing for those who are sick in and outside our fellowship.
• Pray for GCF that we can better serve and love the graduate student community at MIT.

Verse of the Week

All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.  Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
