NEWSFLASH | Christmas Party | Friday 12/11 7pm | Mezzanine Lounge (W20-307)

Welcome to the MIT Graduate Christian Fellowship!

Come join us for dinner, carols and a gift exchange as we celebrate the coming of Jesus, our Prince of Peace and Savior of the World : )

Please bring a wrapped gift (<$10) for the gift exchange! It can also be a white elephant gift, but be loving and bring something that can be useful to other people. Good example: a book that you have read (and enjoyed!) and would want to bless someone else with it. Bad example: a broken spoon.

Where: Mezzanine Lounge (W20-307)

When:      Fri 12/11 @ 7pm

Contact: LG Team (mit-gcf-lg@mit.edu)

Spiritual Encouragement

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

1 John 3:1-2

NEWSFLASH | Theological Grace | Friday 12/4 7:30pm | Kresge RRB

Welcome to the MIT Graduate Christian Fellowship!

Competitive environments like MIT offer much to learn from and can push us to do our best work, yet they can also instill in us a harmful tendency to measure ourselves by our achievements. The perceived burden of having to prove ourselves by our works can be especially toxic when it invades our spiritual lives and obscures our experience of God's grace. To conclude our series on grace, Pastor Dave Swaim from Highrock Church will discuss a theological perspective on God's grace reminding us how to live like His children rather than His slaves.

Topic:        Theological Grace

Speaker:     Pastor Dave Swaim

Where:        Kresge Rehearsal Room B (W16-030)

When:         Fri 12/4 @ 7:30pm
