Announcements
- Thanksgiving events for those who are staying at MIT:
- We will have a Potluck Dinner on Thursday (11/22) afternoon. Please fill out this survey if you would like to attend. (We need some folks on team turkey).
- Le Grand Tour de Boston: a Thanksgiving holiday tradition in GCF. Learn the history, pop culture, art, and architecture of this great city we are in on Saturday, Nov. 24. We will cover the city by T, foot, and boat, concluding with the Sunset Cannon Firing at Old Ironsides and a boat trip across the harbor. (In case of really bad weather we will postpone). Sign up here.
- Urbana 2018: You can still register for Urbana, a historic student missions conference that happens every three years! It is a place where you can experience God's global kingdom more vividly and engage more actively in his work (read more about it).
- There is a scholarship opportunity offered by the Emerging Scholar's Network, and additional scholarships may be available. Talk to Kevin for any questions regarding the conference!
- Small group Bible studies are meeting weekly: http://web.mit.edu/mitgcf/www/sg.shtml. If you are interested in joining one, please contact the small group leader(s) for more details.
- Serving: We want to invite you to become more involved in the community! Every willing hand will be a blessing to GCF (as the community grows, we need more help too :)). If you are interested, then please talk to one of us or contact us at mit-gcf-steer@mit.edu!
Prayer Square
- Praise God for community building and friendships at last week's outing to candlepin bowling!
- Continue to pray for healing for Marianne.
Spiritual Encouragement
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
